Product Use
BenzaClin® is a medicine used for the topical treatment of acne. It has the combination of two acne fighting ingredients, which are benzoyl peroxide and clindamycin. BenzaClin® may be used for treatments other than those listed.
Indications and Usage
BenzaClin® is suggested for the topical treatment of acne vulgaris.
Contraindications
BenzaClin® is unadvisable for those who are allergic to lincomycin or other components of the medicine. Those who have a history of antibiotic-associated colitis, ulcerative colitis, or regional enteritis, are also contraindicated against using this medicine. Some of the side-effects of BenzaClin® are peeling, itching, sunburn, redness of skin, diarrhea, skin dryness, swelling of lips, tongue, hives, or face, and breathing problems.
Warnings
A doctor should always be referred before using BenzaClin® in case one breast-feeds her child. It should totally be avoided by pregnant women. Even if one is allergic to antibiotic lincomycin, benzyl peroxide, and clindamycin,BenzaClin® should not be used by them. Do not apply it on an unclean skin. Always wash your hands before applying it. Those who have a history of colitis must not use it. It may lead to death in case a person is suffering from severe colitis. Stop continuing the usage of BenzaClin® when you are suffering from extreme diarrhoea.
