Product Use:

Elidel is used for treating children over two years and adults against mild to moderate atopic dermatitis. It is an immunosuppressant that decreases the immunity system of the body and reduces the growth of eczema on the skin. This may be used for other purposes, which have not been mentioned.

Indications and Usage:

Elidel is indicated for the treatment of mild to moderate atopic dermatitis

Contraindications

Using Elidel can lead to headache, burning sensation, and cold-like symptoms. It can have allergic reactions such as swelling of face, lips, throat, or tongue, itching, redness, and oozing of skin, fever, stinging, swollen glands, tingling, stuffy nose, stomach upset, and body aches. It may lower the blood vessels making one susceptible to herpes or chicken pox.

Warnings

Elidel should be used by pregnant or breast-feeding women only after prior advice from the doctor. Exposure to sunlight, phototherapy treatments with UVA or UVB light, tanning beds, and sun lamps should be avoided. The doctor should be immediately informed in case one is using other medicinal products. This medicine should never be applied to a wet skin. One should also never cover the treated skin with a bandage. Avoid alcohol while using elidel.
